Mr. Liu Jiayi, Auditor General of CNAO, met with a delegation headed by Dr. Nguyen Huu Van, Auditor General of the State Audit Office of Vietnam, on May 20th in Beijing.
Mr. Liu Jiayi extended warm welcome to Dr. Nguyen and his delegation, and said China and Vietnam are friendly neighbouring countries that share many similarities on politics and economy, and the two SAIs has established friendly relations on this basis. Mr. Liu expressed his wish to further enhance bilateral cooperation and exchanges to promote common development of pubic auditing in both countries. Dr. Nguyen said that with the raising importance of public external auditing in Vietnam, the State Audit Office of Vietnam envisaged increasing needs for learning from, especially the experiences of China in fighting against corruption and conducting environmental auditing, as well as for exchanges and cooperation with the National Audit Office of China on accountability audit and resources and environmental auditing.
Dr. Sun Baohou, Deputy Auditor General of CNAO, and officials in charge of accountability audit, environmental and resources audit, as well as international cooperation joined the meeting, and mad corresponding presentations.
The delegation later visited Yunnan Provincial Audit Office to study the audit work at local levels in China.
